Picture How rare is a DW 5900?

I saw a photo of a DW 5900 and have begun looking for one. Does anyone know if this will be difficult to find?

one was sold on ebay earlier this week.

    you can view it here

i just won one without bezel earlier today, while another bezel-less was unsold. check it out here. perhaps you can contact the seller (based in turkey) if he will relist.

there are quite a few 5900s on Yahoo Auctions Japan at this moment as well.

    good luck

    Hello,

Not rare in the sense that they will be worth a lot of money like some of those DW-5XXX are. But rare as to how many are out there in great condition. They are a fun watch and a great addition to the collection. My first G-Shock was a DW-5900 (father of the Triple Eyed Devils as Sjors would call it) I bought it new at a BEST Jewelry store. The original battery lasted 14 years. The watch has no backlight and has a tiny LCD analog clock in one of the circles.

The best part about it is the DW-6600 strap(base black model) is the exact same as the strap on the 5900 so you can buy a DW-6600 strap for it

    Cheers

    Leon

Thanks for this link. I noticed the coloring of the letters is different than the photo I posted. Are there different versions of the DW 5900?

Xfactor, that 5900 on mwr looks like a -9 version (gold lcd and gold writing). I'd assume there are a couple versions of the DW-5900.

Here's the photo from the ad:

    Here's a -9 gold version of the 6900 from Seiya's site:

I looked at Yahoo Auctions Japan and there are some available. Any tips on how to use that Auction? All I could recognize on that site are the photos!

I'd ask a friendly fellow member from Japan for help with the Japan auctions .

edit: also, he can look at past auctions to see how the current prices are.
