The hunt for red October is over!

Today was a good day. I finally purchased my grail from a local shop! A GWF1000RD-4 Burning Red Frogman!

Man I used to come by this shop a lot dreaming that one day I'd take home the froggie! (sorry mods if I'm not supposed to show store name)

Employees thought I was just another person browsing their stuff so I was kinda upset that nobody really offered me help. Anyways, I was set.

On to the pics: (sorry iPhone pics 😞)

    There she is!

    Others waiting to be adopted.

    Then the unboxing.

    And the obligatory wrist shot!

When I held it for the first time I was stunned! This thing is heavier than my other Gshocks! It's big and does indeed have a huge wrist presence as most of you guys have mentioned.

Man honestly I don't even know what to get next. I've contemplated for a long time about buying the aqua teen hunger force 6900 and the blue King but not any longer. Soon as I tried the frog on its like "putting my grown man on!"

Anyways, hope you guys enjoy my story! Fellow red froggers out there please say hi!

    Thanks for viewing!

PS: any advice about this watch please share because I don't even know where to start with it 😊

    Awesome story dude.

Love the Froggie, only just got in to g-shocks myself so bought myself a Riseman...I will get a yellow froggie at some point! My worry is the size, it is massive. Riseman looks a good size on my wrist.

Real problem is that no where in the UK sell them in bricks and mortar jewellers -it's all online.

Cool catch. You still can find it in stores. Where did you find it (country/city)?

Best advise: Wear it a lot. It's exactly what I do with it

    Cheers,

    Sjors

Thanks StephenWatch! I actually like the condition of the tag. Like finding a vintage watch! Don't know how to explain it.

Wow, in SF? You could buy this watch in a lot of shops in Japan, but as far as I know it never was released outside Japan. You are very lucky to find it!

    Cheers,

Thank you sir! Honestly I haven't done intensive research about this watch but the manual is written in Japanese in the front and English after. I'm curious now!
