This one - but I think it only works in Japan:
    GQ-1000J-8JF -

    Google translation:
Wave reception function: Auto / manual answer, auto-tuning function (the standard radio-wave radio reception JJY, Frequency = 40kHz/60kHz)

What do you mean? Most G-Shocks (it they're atomic) are either Multiband 5 or Multiband 6 which means they got reception in most places in the world. Some only work in Japan and USA like the Silencer and some only work in Japan - but those are no longer in production (like the Antman). Some only work in Europe (only receiving the UK transmitter and the German one). So - No, it does not go for almost all G-Shocks, if that was what you meant.

He's looking for an alarm clock, which means it has to sound louder than most G-Shocks.

I only have access to the GQ-500 "G-Shock" Alarm Clock:

    GQ-500-8EF - Wake Up Timer - Watch - Products - CASIO

Didn't know there was the Atomic (1000) version...!
