I am the proud owner of possibly the most unpopular G ever.

    Maybe. Maybe not.

When I started my little quest here at watchuseek, I had nothing. Then I purchased a Gulfman; the lcd of which a friend destroyed in hopes of finding out "how tough a G-shock really was". The next G I bought was stolen. I'm not here to complain though.

The one I picked up mid-february for $30 on the bay...and later free thanks to his generosity is now my one and only. (maybe he just really hated it and wanted it gone. ) An AW-582B-7AJF.

Alright. Now the real reason I've dragged you in here. You might have noticed the leather strap. Would it be possible to trade it off with that of the resin model of this watch? What do you think of your leather strapped G's?
    Casio G-9100 Gulfman (1)
    Casio AW-582B-7A1JR (1)
    Casio AWG-500J-9AJF (1)

My last will be a G1710D-1A. Then its peace and much love to ya G-Shock.

Pics of the lugs would help to determine what straps would fit~Cheers!

On that question, the only one I've got is a GT-2000 with blue case and a blue leather strap. Unfortunately it's worn and it's proved impossible to find a replacement. And, the case seems to be a slightly different shape when fitted with the leather option, so a regular resin strap won't fit either.

Apart from that, I'd love more leather strap options. A body which accepted Panerai-style chunky straps would be much more comfortable to me than plastic ones, which I only put up with 'cos there is a G attached to them!
The Search function on vBulletin forums isn't very smart. If you want to search for a complete string in the G-Shock forum, or for posts which include multiple words, use Google, and enter site:forums.watchuseek.com/f17 into the search box. Then use normal google syntax after that to enter your search.

I'll quote myself from another thread:

Was that watch part of the 'lovers collection' by any chance?
    Real men don't need instructions.
