    I can't believe it!

    I like it!!!

The GW5600J-1 arrived today, simple G-Shock, and I really like it!! I've been talking about big big big all this time, and here's the smallest G I've ever worn, and I'm liking it more than some others in my rotation. Why?

    • Comfortable - I forget I have it on, it disappears
    • Will fit under shirt sleeves that none of my other G's or Casios can, except for maybe the Manaslu. Small is beautiful in this case!
    • Silky, rubbery resin
    • Surprisingly long strap
    • Though not total stealth, nice and subdued
    • What I like most: great display:
    • Large fonts for the main text display
    • Very good overall use of the available dial space
    • Crisp wide-angle positive LCD, easy to read
    • Strong backlight and auto-EL
    • And I must admit - it looks good in the mirror, with the classic, iconic G "look"

This has given me a whole new appreciation for the 5600's! And of course, pictures to follow soon!!

Agree, agree and agree; all that for a good price too. I'm wearing mine right now.

Pending the arrival of a proper analog G-Shock someday, the GW5600J has served as my go-to watch for semi-formal and formal events, and it hasn't looked a bit out of place.

    Agree on all counts!!!

I liked the first one so well, that I had to buy another! I usually wear one to bed, I use them as my alarm clock. Nice loud alarm.

    Congrats on yours, enjoy!

One thing about the GW5600's that I don't remember seeing mentioned before, the backlight has an option for the length of time it stays on. This is the only Solar/Atomic that I am aware of that has this feature.

Yeah, the 5600's are a nice, simple design. And of course, they are selling extremely well for Casio.

I have a GWM-5600 on order now. Probably two weeks out. I was all about big, but this one just says G, with authority. Congrats
