    I know it's not a G-Shock but...

I was talking watches with my girlfriend and being slightly Bohemian and all said she really likes '80s style digital watches. Later that day I showed her pics of the classic F-91W and she really wanted one, and that why don't I get one as well seeing as they're so cheap.

3 days later we took delivery of them and I have to say I am humbled to be in the presence of what for me is a design masterpiece. My G's havent seen any wrist time since I recieved it.

I can understand why it is huge seller; a simple design with an easy to use module (no need for manual), accurate and costs about as much as a beer in London. Broken it? Just buy a new one.

Even though to many people this watch epitomizes poor taste, I am proud to wear it in defiance of their ignorance. Granted, it is not going to say you are succesful, but it is it's very uncoolness that makes it cool.

    To the F-91W...

I got the same hankering last year for the F-91W, for the same reasons. I ended up with the DW-5600 instead, but respect those who can sport the F-91W with dignity and grace.

I got mine around New Year and it's the same, most of my other watches now see very little wrist time. It's just so well made, easy, complete, versatile, reliable... And hey, if anyone says it's "uncool" you can always tell them the story about... https://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/offi...ch-559001.html

I also love my F91W, it is so simple and with the best readability among Casio's.
I even wear it with suit, I dont care what people with think when they see it.

I had a similar model when I was at high school. The only problem that I remember was that I had to change the strap with non original ones every year. I always wanted to have a similar model with 100m wr at that time so I could swim with it.

Then I gifted to someone who didn't even said thank you. Very strong watch.

Discounting watches like these is ignoring a large part of the history of Casio and how they have to come to be the makers of my favourite watches...G-Shocks. If not for these watches I fear the G-Shock story would be a very different and not so interesting one.

A large wrist person does not surely look good.
However, I am that a wrist is thin, and this model is a favorite very much.

    Re: I know it's not a G-Shock but...

dobber72, a calculator watch on a NATO is the coolest thing I've seen all week. Strangely, my uncle visited us today, he just arrived from Canada, and he was wearing a F-91W. He's no WIS by any means and there was no watch conversation to follow, so when I asked if he had any problems at the airport he didn't know what I was talking about.
