    I need a G-Shock that has....

    1) Tidegraph
    2) Compass
    3) Barometer
    4) Temperature
    5) Countdown Timer
    6) Timekeeping
    7) Solar power
    8) Atomic updating

Assigned to full-time Marine Patrol unit for the department & thought these functions would be essential. But, I don't think there is a current G-Shock that has all those functions. I did order a Sea Pathfinder that had some, but not all. Maybe someday....

Nice wish-list of features you've compiled there - but you're right, it doesn't exist. Or we'd all have one.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

You need to look at Casio's Pro-trek range, or a Suunto, but you won't get all that lot in one watch.

    @ island cop,

if you drop the tidegraph you are better off with The Paw-1300 series IMO. the watch has all the others features you are looking for, including a 24h countdown timer instead the 60min one of the SPF-40....

    Hi Island Cop,

You need to look at the ProTrek series. If you like BIG choose a PTW-1100 or PRW-1200. The PRW-1300 is also looking nice, but looks a bit smaller (or thinner). As a bonus you get a Countdown timer and World time with them.

Note the wearing a watch affects the temperature measured. To read the correct temperature, you need to take off the watch and let it aclimatisize (?) for about 20 minutes. The Thermometer is actually important for the bBarometer (and thus also the Altimeter) function. Baromtric sensors are also temperature dependend.

    Cheers,

    Sjors
