    I often feel really torn...

...when I look at my other favourite mechanicals and reach for a G instead. It causes a kind of pang...like I'm being unfaithful to a loyal friend.

My two all-time favourite sport watches are my old Orient King Diver and Eterna KonTiki chronometer. I adore these watches wildly and passionately, but lately when I choose a watch, I invariably reach for one of my new G's. I haven't worn the Orient or Eterna since early summer, and they used to be daily wearers with a Zodiac thrown in to keep thing interesting. I've owned Casios since the early 80's, but these new styles and colours of G-Shock have left me completely helpless.

Maybe it's just a "phase"? Maybe I will come to my senses soon. Am I alone in this, or do any of you also have this same dilemma?

Agreed, a while back I couldn't think of wearing anything by a Frogman. Now I cannot take the G-7900 off but even now I feel that fading.

Yep, I'm in the same dilemma. I've been neglecting my beloved Omega Seamaster. But that's because I'm still in the newbie phase of G-Shocks and I am trying to figure out what I'm comfortable with. Once I settle in with the G-Shocks, I'll give them a break and reach for the Seamaster.

i went through something similar but i took it to the extreme and came to the conclusion that what i was doing (collecting watches) was a pointless excercise and i sold everyone of them, i didnt even leave my self one i woke up one day in a cold sweat and thaught to myself what a complete waste of both money and time it was and inevitably sold the lot

i made a profit to say the least as i seem to have a good eye for things that acrue in value with age

but then about 6 months later i began to badly regret what i did and am now in the process of buying watches again and never ever will i sell my beloved watches no matter how i feel

i love watches and that will never change i will just limit how many watches i buy and make sure i dont get into the hundreds like before

I share all of the above. I know that day is coming when I will have to decrease my inventory to a more realistic level. If my wife found my storage drawer she would have to go on Prozac or put me on it.
My how she has stood by me through all these years knowing that somewhere he has a stash of watches. It’s really not that bad. Who am I kidding?

Add me to the list of going thru phases.

But for some reason, regardless of what I wear during the week, I seem to end up with my beige mudman on my wrist when I get home at night and on the weekends.

I started my collection with Seikos and Citizens... I have some great Seiko autos and sevearl Citizen eco drives. I have some really nice Swiss watches as well. For about the last 5 months I have been on a digital kick. Suunto, Nike, and G Shock.

I figure it will all roll back around eventually. :)

    I often go through phases.
    Suunto... Replacing Luck!
