Recently I decided to trim down my collection and raise some funds for a few watches I've had on my wishlist for some time now. I looked into my watch boxes and picked those that had hardly gotten any wrist time for the past few months.
Obviously some favourites - G1200, GA100, Final Frog, get more wrist time then others and those I decided to keep.
I started flipping and most of my Gs that I put up for sale were snapped up in a local forum. I was giving up on collecting Gs. I wasn't visiting the G-shock forum on a daily basis as I used to. I told myself I have enough Gs. I was in denial.
Last weekend I dropped by my regular G/Seiko retailer coz he told me he was offering some Seiko JDMs (Japan only models which is hard to find in KL) and I left the shop with these two.
(Sorry, I should have given the G6900 a wipe before snapping the photos)
I realized that G-shocks were not just watches you wear on the wrist. G-shock is a lifestyle, particularly in my line of business in interactive media. For some reason, most creative ideas come when I'm wearing my G. Perhaps the different colors do create a chemical reaction of some sorts in the brain?
Whatever it is, I can't wait for the GXW-56s to reach our shores!
Thanks for viewing. Cheers.
ps: Of all the Gs I flipped, I miss my Orange Gulfman the most and I intend to get another one. Just for the benefit of those who are thinking about getting one, it's a great watch.
