if there was only G-schock to be choosen...

    as the topic says...

If you were allowed to have just one G-shock, what model would that be? Please post your pics and share your thoughts on why...

For me, the 6900. So comfortable for such a chunky watch (note how the thick protection for the sides are cut so that you can flex your wrist without digging in), endorsed by so many military people (and nasa??), and simple basic functions for daily use. One complaint about mine, not sure if it is common across the board, is that the white split/reset wording isn't actually next to the split button...its the embedded button on the "adjust" side. I'm guessing they used the same casing for a different module. Any comments on this??

Re: if there was only G-schock to be choosen...

well, my answer to those questions differ from time to time, as there come watches with more advanced modules out. a few years back my recommendation would have been a G-2300/2310 (or the similar metal cased/bracelet GL-7000RF). until recently I would have suggested a riseman GW-9200 and/or a G-9000 mudman (similar G-800BD-1V). right now I think that maybe the G-7710/00 series is as good as it gets what a g-shock can do. during the last 3,5 weeks I wore mine while conducting a special training with the US army (california national guard). the watch holded up (of course what else to expect from a G?) remarkable well but the big surprise is, that it was still spot on to the second compared with one of my RC watches. almost a month without gaining or loosing one second is what i call a truly amazing time-piece, especially since the G-7710/00 series is among the cheapest but at the same time among the most advanced g-shocks.

    here two pics of mine:

    I can't answer this question...

...life would be too boring if we had to stop at one.

I would have to say my purple Frogman. It's the one I wear the most. Runner-up would be the white ICERC Frog.

For me something simple, easy to read, and most importantly comfortable to wear.

    That is the DW-9052:

I recently acquired a DW-5600E, that's a very nice watch too, and I prefer its simple screen with no graphical tat. But I the EL button on the DW-9052 is more accessible with gloves, and the overall button arrangement is a little bit nicer... On the other hand, the slimmer 5600 makes it a nice watch to swim laps with.

So, the 9052, but the 5600E is close.

I don't have enough to name an out an out winner, but you can be sure it will have a resin bezel and strap, and it won't have an overly complex module. That's what I like, roguedness, comfort, practicality, and simplicity.
