I'm 5 years late to the party with this new arrival - G-Shock x Concre x DQM DW-5600VT

    WRITE-UP IN PROGRESS

When a F17 member posted photos of his G-Shock x Concre x Eric Elms DW-5600VT, I was smitten with it's unique design. After spending some time researching and searching, there were other 4 G-Shock x Concre collaborations that were released in November 2007. If the Eric Elms was unique, Dave's Quality Meat was just bloody stunning and IMHO the best of the lot.

This was about two years ago... Sjors recently posted an article on the Concre collaborations and taunted me with his Concre x DQM:

    G-Shock #44: Dave's Quality Meat's Concrete Creation

Timing must had been right because one shows up available for sale. Coincidental? Perhaps, but it was a sign that I had to jump on. Without further ramblings, I present the G-Shock x Concre x DQM:

The negative display is surprisingly very legible on the DW-5600VT. When you first see the DQM in the presentation box, its design is very unassuming until you lift it out and view the unique camo print design on the strap.

Great pickup of a rare one.

Looks great with that camo strap.

Re: I'm 5 years late to the party with this new arrival - G-Shock x Concre x DQM DW-5600VT

It was a coincidence. It wasn't on sale as I was writing it (about two weeks before it was actually posted). In fact the article was in my mind combined with the DW-5600BB and I had to wait until I got a BB, before I could start writing. I noticed some people going WOW when I posted the article on internet, but if you have been around 4 years ago, you should have seen this model here, as I think it was even me who posted these models (as for sale in Zozo Town) here first. These CONCRE's come up really very rarely, so you are a very lucky guy to have this model, as I was lucky 4 years ago that a friend of me here on f17 offered me his CONCRE DQM for the real costs (including the receipts). Enjoy your new G.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

nice combination of camo and stealth, but I imagine the camo will fade away with time

Haha, I figured it was. Just busting your chops and boycotting your blog my friend

These do very rarely come up for resale and decided I had to take the plunge. You couldn't imagine the smile I had unboxing and photographing. The postcards and packaging design were a great bonus. Still can't get over neg. display + camo - stunning!

    Thanks again Sjors!

I'm sure it over time but they did an outstanding screen work on the strap. This one will be worn sparingly and safely :-D
