I went to Target over the weekend to use a gift card. I came home with an Edifice, the basic EF106D. I got it because it has a mineral crystal, ten year battery, and lume. I have been wearing it for a couple of days, and am surprised at how well the watch seems to have been built. It is smaller than the Seiko Monsters and such, but I have a small wrist. A smaller watch like this one looks better on my watch. I've already banged around a bit with it, as I don't plan to baby it like my Citizen Eco-Drive with its leather band. The EF106D seems to handle it well. I can't see any scuffing or scratches on the bracelet or the crystal. The lume, while not the brightest I have seen, was still visible at 5:00 AM. (I had been outside with it until dark the night before, but I didn't charge the lume with my lamp before bed.
If you are looking for a cheap, but nice looking metal band watch, this one seems to work well. (I've had a couple of Timex watches in the same price range that were inferior to what I am seeing in this Edifice.)
