Incoming: GLX-6900-1: Some Quick and Dirty Shots

Well, if you like the G-7900 "G-Rescue" Series (and I do), check out the same module (3194) in a 6900 case. As would be fit the "G-Lide" vibe, the GLX-6900 is a very glossy finish (in this case in black). The purple and light blue accents give it a summery, aquatic feel. I won't swear that this watch will ONLY see wrist time during the Summer, but I think it looks its best during this season. I think G-7900 plastic buttons might have been an interesting modification to the standard 6900 shape, but Casio did not opt for that (perhaps there are good reasons, financially, aesthetically or both).

I'm glad I opted for the black color. While I think the white version looks great; I think a high gloss white finish on a watch this size would likely not work for me.

Here are few Blackberry shots in slightly more natural light (via the window of a cab):

That sure doesn't help to keep me from buying one . Enjoy! This one's definitely on my list - I already ordered one without noticing it was only pre-order so I cancelled the deal. Now I will wait till maybe the price drops a little.

that glossy finish looks awful, like cheap clothespin plastic - a total dealbreaker in my opinion .

but you have to like it, not me so congrats to your new GLX anyway. since you already have a couple G-7900's if i remember correctly, you know what to expect from that great module, enjoy

    cheers
