Nice to see the brand profiled in this way. Very cool. Thanks for the link, Worker!

    Thanks for the link.

So it confirms Casio will dip into smart watch functionalities for G-Shock, or at least some smart watch functionalities

    Thanks for the article.

Funny that if it were not for a smoking device (the yubiwa pipe), G-Shock might never have existed.

2 things some ppl need to take in from that article - they do sweat tests and theyre not planning on competing with apple, just adding some smart watch functions to advance the Gshock line

Re: Interesting NY Times Article (G-Shock)

Very interesting article. In it, they state "Some intelligent analog, radio-controlled G-Shocks display the exact local time thanks to the signals they receive in different regions of the world, and some feature the atomic time technology, which means they self-adjust to new time zones." They seem to differentiate between between 2 different waveceptor functions, one that keeps the "exact local time" and one that uses "atomic time technology, which means they self-adjust to new time zones". I thought the tower that a waveceptor receives its signal from was determined by the home city you set. Do some waveceptors actually "self adjust" based on their location? I don't own a GPS enabled G, but maybe one of those models perhaps that "knows where it is" can, I dunno, curious however.

Isn’t someone going to save that poor little Ranger in the pic? They’ve got it strapped down and are probing it and things.
