    Introduction and Question

Hello to all! So glad I found this forum. I've learned quite a bit reading everyone's posts. I purchase my first G-shock a few months ago and I just purchased my fifth. I might be addicted. Here's my question: My latest purchase was from a chain department store. They had one G-shock in their case. I't was a dwd5500-1cr. At $49, it went home with me. However, I have no idea how old this watch is, when it was produced? I assume this was a retro reproduction?

This was a retro reproduction...however the initial version was released in the mid 80s.

Score! Congrats. What are your others? I bought my first G shock a few weeks ago and technically I think I have like five now too. I seem to really like the pre-2010 designs. The G-7700, the G-2900, the GW-M850...

The G-7700 is an absolute masterpiece:

    Nice watch. So far I have purchased: GA-800, GWM530A, GWM5610-1 and a GA710B. Whats next? Maybe a GA1000.
