I've been "silent" for a few days

Been on the road, my friends, traveling in the land of the Rising G-Shocks (Japan). Having a great time visiting Hokkaido, Nagoya, and of course Tokyo.

During this trip, of course I could not resist checking out the local G-scene. Tried on the new MTG-1500 (which I didn't like all that much), as well as picked up a few G-Shock and Casio catalogs.

I also picked up the GW400 Silencer. I've had my eye on this one for a while actually as I think it has a good balance of feature/function for price, and it looks pretty good too. I have not seen this model in other parts of the world, but I know there are a few Silencer fans out there in this forum! I think you'll agree with me that it's a feature-packed watch in a handsome package.

It was a good choice for me because I was looking for watches that had feature that I didn't already have: tide graph, moon graph, vibration. It also didn't hurt that it was an atomic/solar model (I'm a big fan of those).

Here are some quick and dirty pics I took. I'm very happy with it!

Congrats on the Silencer. Was looking at that one today btw.

So how did you like Tokyo mate? Did you get lost at all?

Oh it's was a blast, dude (I'm actually still here now). I've been here a couple times before, and the city's not hard to navigate at all. The subway system is very convenient, but the intricate lines can get confusing at times.

So what's stopping you from picking up a Silencer, mate? My feeling is that is encompasses a lot of features from different models (temp, tide, moon, vibration, etc.) all in a solar/atomic package that makes it very attractive.

I found it for a reasonable price in Tokyo. What are you waiting for?

Where did you find it? The one I saw was in Ueno, priced at 14900 yen.

You found a better deal than me. I don't remember the district I bought it from, but I got it at ビックカメラ. My price was about Y17500.

Where in Ueno did you find it?

Mate, I'd have to take you there and show you. It's a real maze that area...

VERY VERY NICE! Yeah I yelled it. Heck you are all the way on Japan. :)

I want one of those. Seiya is too high of a price for me. Enjoy!
