    Jason G-001-1A G001 1A

This watch is starting to grow on me. Are these Jasons really limited editions or is this a ploy to create a sense of urgency so neurotic people like me will pull the trigger since I have convinced myself that supply will be depleted in 72 hours and I will never be able to procure one?

I don't think any of the G-001 models are a limited edition in the true sense. They are probably on a monthly production run instead of a set number from the beginning. But Casio could stop making any of these models at a particular time, and the supply would dry up. Casio hasn't been real open about their production numbers of various models recently.

Go ahead and get the one you like if you find a good deal. It's hard to predict what will happen in the future, so don't worry about it too much. The price could go up or down on these, but most models like these are available new for at least two years.

They will be readily available months, if not years from now. All watches are limited in one way or another, but these are not a "Grab it while you can" type of limited.

It's an allusion to the quest for the Holy Grail, i.e. Christian knights trotting about the globe looking for some piece of crockery used by Jesus at the Last Supper. It features in the Arthurian legends.

In watch-nut terms it has come to be used as a synonym for 'most wanted' watch, or 'if I won the lottery' watch.

A much over-used term, in my opinion.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

It comes from the mythical term "Holy Grail" meaning for something that is next to impossible to acquire.
So when some WIS says thats grail, they mean that watch is not within their reach at the moment, usually due to high price and budget constraints or the watch is extremely rare in its existence.

Oh, WIS is short for watch idiot savant. We are all one of these, crazies. LOL

edit: tribe beat me to the post. takes me forever to type. haha

So excited! I went from hating the Jasons, to having them grow on me, to just snapping up the one I like the best for $76 from an Amazon seller who only had one left:

    Time to play some Splatterhouse!
