    Jelly g shock dye project

Well , i took the advice of everyone who replied to my "jelly g shock" problems.

I decieded to dye the watch black...here is the final product

phoned casio uk,but was told the usuall story.no spare parts, strap etc avail due to item discontinued.

Its so frustrating collecting some g shocks when you cannot even get parts for them anymore

this is about the 7th time ive been let down by casio...anyway,still love the watches

thanks to all who replied to my previous post

    merry xmas to you all

you cant entirely blame Casio for not having parts, it is an old model.. and its good to see you have given it a new look

I was hoping for a blue / red dye becasue im thinking of dyeing a spare set of GG Frog bezel strap blue or red. that being said I do like the black with blue letters from what I have read if you want to keep a current G get a new set of bezel and strap if they are stored away from sunlight in there sealed package they should last for a long time, I know that dosent help now but wanted to mention it for people wanting to keep current Gs for a long time.

    Looks great.

I wish Casio would release new parts for all of these classics too.

But dyeing them is a fun alternative.

    I dyed my DW-9200K-2AVT orange:

I did find a site that sold these straps and bezels NOS but since it was in some asian language I was unable to order one. Where the site was i have no clue but i did find it by simply searching Google for the particualr watch. Mine is a little yellowed but not quite as bad as yours is/was.
