Just bought my first G-Shock, want to chance the bracelet

EDIT: sorry that should say 'change' the bracelet.

    Hi all

My first post on this forum

Just ordered my first ever G-Shock, the GW-M5610BC-1ER
I'm sure you all know it well, but I'm looking to change the bracelet for a resin strap.

Having already had a look around on here, I've seen some recommendations for the GW 5000 strap which I can get from here Casio Watches - Tiktox

Before I order it though, I wanted to check first in here if this would be the correct strap for my new watch?
and if not which one should I go for?

Thanks in advance for any assistance and apologies if this question is better asked in another topic somewhere else.

Brilliant! thanks for the info Bosox. I will get that one then.

As for the bracelet, I'm undecided what I'll do with it at the moment.
I may well keep it for smarter occasions, however would it be worth putting it on ebay? Would I get a decent amount for it?

Bracelets do fetch a good price, mainly due to Casio's absurd aftermarket part pricing. But, unless you really need the cash or something I would personally keep it. Why? Because you never know and it will be much harder to locate a metal bracelet than a resin strap.

If I were you I'd keep it in case you decide to get rid of the GW-M5610BC in the near future. You could probably sell it on ebay or someone on here. Heck, for the right price I could use another combi bracelet.

    Thanks Nightshift!

You're probably right, I should keep it really.
I don't need the cash although the watch is a little more than what I had planned on spending (+ I have just bought a replacement resin strap for it too)
I was originally thinking of getting the cheaper non-stealth version of this watch with the resin strap but decided to spend the extra for the nicer looks.
Thanks for the info about the bracelets, I guess I should at least wait until it arrives and I can see how much I like it before making a decision.

    thanks again

thanks also tic-toc/g-shock for your reply, you're right too about potentially selling it in the future.
I'll wait and see once it arrives.

I think you'll really like it once you get it. For work though I use resin straps though as I wouldnt want the bracelet getting scraped up.

    Okay my watch arrived today!
As I said I want to change the bracelet for a resin strap which also arrived today.
Could someone point me in the direction of a guide/tutorial for changing the strap on this particular model, or a model with the same strap?

Actually, having had a look around it appears it isn't that difficult.
I just need to find the right tool to get the job done.
