Just got my first G-shock!! DW6900CB black/gold with a twist

Just got signed up with the forum, and had a chance to pick up my first G-shock... To be honest, these were never really on my radar until a trip to Vegas last week and a visit to Tourneau. Specifically, the black/gold model really caught my eye! I just HAD to have it. The only thing that turned me off from the watch though, was the silver buttons and caseback. I felt that those little details, if gold, would make the watch "pop" just that much more. Rather than wait and see if Casio will do something about it, I went ahead and bought it, then plated the buttons and caseback myself. I guess it helps that I used to do gold plating in college and still have the equipment!

Next up on my radar I think will be the DW6900MS (stealth), and the GA-100 (all black).

Anyways, here are the pics... Let me know what you guys think!

Welcome! Turned out great! I like that model, reminds me of a Trans Am for some reason!

Experience is what you end up with when you didn't get what you wanted.

Impressive work - especially as the usual advice is to not even attempt removal of the buttons!

Welcome to the forum - you have joined it with quite a splash!
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

    Thanks guys!

Buttons weren't removed... Everything was done right on the watch. Wasn't brave enough to dismantle it just yet :)
