Kawasaki G7710... how I think it should have been...

I bought a Kawasaki G-7710 off a (fantastic) member on here a while back but never really liked it 100%. I don't really understand why they only came with a positive face... maybe it's for easier viewing but it doesn't fit in right.

So, I finally got hold of a negative G-7710 from another (fantastic) member on here.

It wasn't a quick mod as the strap was in the way and had to be removed\replaced etc (which is no easy task with my primative tools) but here are the results...

    They started out like this:

    ...and now they're like this:

It's not a watch I'l be wearing a lot (only for motorsport events during the summer) but for those of you that haven't used a G-7700/7710, I'd really recommend them.

The functions are fantastic. They can show up to 3 time zones at once and also have countdown LEDs etc. Great watch.

That does look good with green. Would mind a few more pics actually.

Thanks for all the nice comments

I'd take more pics but i'm really sick of my camera right now. It's a great holiday cam but not worth anywhere near the £300 it cost me in terms of picture quality.

Keep meaning to find out which cameras you guys are using.

Wow, that really does work, it's better than the original!

My own feeling about the 7700 series, having owned quite a few of them, is that all the -ve versions look way better that the +ve ones which have displays that look a little empty.

Oh and nice to see two of my watches reunited

    Good work.

I agree that the module of the 7700s is a great one, so many useful functions.

I have difficulty warming to the aesthetics of the dial however.

I swear every time I see a different mod thread, my head just exlpodes at the talent in our community. Yours is an example of a watch that if I saw in a store it would stop me in my tracks.

I just picked up a 7710 today as well and it's a great module for sure! I'm really looking forward to some real-world use, the multi-zone display will come in very handy at work.

The inverse display in that Kawi green body is phenomenal! Nice work on the swap!
