Is this the least successful ltd edition? Gold hammer tone Mr G still in stock at Casio UK

After two and a half years they still have one left. And they only made 300. https://g-shock.co.uk/mrg-g1000hg-9adr

I can't believe you bunch of tightwads have let it sit there gathering dust.

Has anyone ever paid retail for a Casio? Especially a 'high end' one.

Can get a MRG-G2000HT for a similar price elsewhere...

I paid retail for both my square 35th anniv. squares, dw5035e-7 and dw5035d-1b.
I bought them later, so stock was/is nearly depleted. I'm actually lucky, as they are now all selling for above retail.
I just recently noticed the "red out" square and wished I saw it sooner , as it is now going for $300-$500

I did for a Maharishi GWG. Given that it was a limited edition and quite sought after I still consider it as good deal.

I took the term"retail" to mean msrp.

My experience has been that most all g shocks can be had under msrp, unless you buy from casio directly or Macys, for example. I bought a dw-5900 for $62 on Amazon, msrp is $99.

Of course, limited editions/special releases are a different story. You can find deals on those depending on how popular they are. My 5735d (35th anniv. Circle) cost me $109, which was under msrp. My 5035d cost me $200, which is msrp.

I love my G’s and especially MR-G watches but if I was going to fork out £5K for one it wouldn’t be that model.
