Ok, so I just bought my gmw-b5000 last week and I adore it. Maybe my judgement is being clouded by this honeymoon phase, but I think next to a Sinn 556, it might be the ultimate GADA watch for me.

My Sinn has a satin finish so it wears scratches well, but I am a bit worried about my gmw. The polish looks great, but I'm guessing it will eventually be a scratch magnet. I am ok with scratches, they happen and I do subscribe to the "gives the watch character" belief, but some watches wear them better than others.

So.....let's see some gmw-b5000's!!! I would like to see some that have been tossed around or worn daily to get an idea of how well they age.

If anything, I have thought about buying one of the all black models and using that to beat around, so I'd love to see some of those, too (I'd just assume age mine myself than pay $1,000 for faux age).

Anyway, I will post a pic of mine. Clean and pristine for now, but I am sure soon enough it'll get its fair share of bumps and bruises.

Here's mine. Picture from July 2018 when I had first got it. I've been happy with it ever since.

Had this since 10/2018. Picked up a few nicks along the way despite my OCPD tendencies, but still a beauty. Has more character now .

Excuse my French but... GADA means Go Anywhere Do Anything ?

My Full Métal G-Shock got satin finish where it was mirror finished.
Against scratch? I use some jeweler pads (green red black) bought on ebay when I was wearing a titanium Tissot.
I am able to erase any minor scratches.

Three GMW's on my shelf. Two silver ones and black ION.

One silver worn as an EDC and not babied. Bracelet and clasp scratched as you would expect, bezel was more lucky, only few minor marks visible only on some angle.
Second silver now changed to DLC bezel and bracelet.

Back ION also modded. Now to DLC bezel and rubber band.

Your judgment is not clouded. The 5000 is a watch and a half.

This watch took a back seat to the DW-5735 I bought. But after wearing an all resin watch for 3+ weeks straight, this watch is a gem. It's shinier than I remembered, haha. It's also got more heft than the resin screwback and the band is more supple. Very nice watch, even on the rubber strap

Nice pics! How does the black IP coating hold up? Also, is it a bit shiny? I like the bling and shine on my silver model, but I’m not sure if I’d like the black IP if it was overly shiny.

Personally, I don’t want to mess with the mirror finish. I think it makes it pretty unique, although it looks like you’ve done a good job on yours and it certainly has the added benefit of being able to touch up scratches. Looks good.
