Let's try this model again... (NEW G CONTENT)

I'm currently in Singapore as I write this. Awesome country btw!

Anyway, whenever I'm over here, I always pay a visit to the Bencoolen. This is a shopping centre close to Bugis station. Inside it is a number of stores which stock watches. They have a plethora of G's to choose from and at decent prices too! I came in without any particular models in mind to pick up. I was however tinkering with the idea of getting a gulfman (men in navy) but when I saw it, the price was out of budget. Also saw the Men in Smoky Grey Gulfman as well which was a pretty darn cool watch, but the price, although decent, was also out of my budget... bummer.

Walked around and eventually went to the store which I picked up my first ever G Shock from; my G-9200 Riseman! 4 years on, walked back into that store today with it on; brought it 'home' haha.

I'll never part ways with this one. Never. Ever.

In one of the circular rotating stands, I saw the watch that I was eventually going to purchase. Now, I owned the exact same watch, but in a different colourway. I remember liking it, but when I saw the same watch in this colour released very very shortly after, I was like damn... should've waited.. Eventually, that was flipped for something else as it wasn't getting worn..

I took a look at this one, did a bit more haggling, and the deal was done!
Enough words, here's what I bought!
(i'm unboxing this for the first time and properly looking at what I purchased as I write this haha)

Yep! I bought a GW-7900NV-2! The previous one I owned was the 7900KG. Love the colour scheme! the green writing works really well with the navy. Love the navy!

What was surprising about this find for me at least was that it's the multi band 6 version. Normally in australia and some asian countries like singapore, unless the model is exclusively multi band 6, we normally get the non atomic versions as we don't receive the signal. There is the GR version of this watch which is non atomic. But this one has atomic reception! Last received it in July this year haha. Although I'll probably never use it, its a nice feature to have nonetheless!

Dat EL backlight. excuse the fingers :P
Also, note the 2 stars! Not sure why it's there, but a nice touch!

Congratualtions on your new watch, I like the looks of the blue rubber strap and case. It looks great size on your hand.

    Yes, congrats on your find!

Better get that Navy some Sun as it is Medium battery on the gauge. Might take a few days to get to Full from sitting inside that store for awhile.

Not sure what the 2 stars on the NV stands for. Not on my MS Or yellow

The stars are the same theme as on the green KG series a while back. The 6900 had three and my 5600KG-3 that I sold (stupid me!) had four stars.

I think its something to do with 'military ranking' haha The 4 stars for the 5600 as its the oldest and most 'senior'. 7900 having 2 as its one of the more younger, less 'senior' models.

Wore the watch today whilst running around singapore. So comfortable! Display is not the nicest on the eyes during darker times. Though this is remedied with the EL light :)
