A little over a month ago...

I posted that my Rangeman had gone blank...no display...would not charge. Lots of great suggestions as to what I should do, as is the norm for Casio G-Shock subforum on WUS. Y’all are a great group. Apparently, nothing was wrong. I removed the back, did absolutely nothing, and the display came back. I took it to a local watch repair “guy” and he said it’s fine. He had no explanation for the blackout. So, here’s my Rangeman on my wrist at a Construction site in Dearborn, Michigan...hard at work.

    That is awesome.

New G-Shock motto, "Is your G-Shock broken? Look again."

Mine did the same thing... just went out then suddenly came back out of the blue. So weird!

Battery clip was loose? There was a short somewhere?

So you just open up the caseback and it came back to life, then put the caseback back on?

    This is weird

Yessir! I know...weird. Whatever. It’s working fine now.

Glad to hear it was an easy fix. I don't own a Rangeman... isn't there some kind of rubberized shock absorbing mat that would be in place to help keep the metal of the back plate isolated from the module, except for the alarm spring?

This is just a thought. But I have had my GX56-BB go "blank". It had been sitting outside, on a hot day, charging. Display came back after it cooled. Don't know if this lines up to what you experienced.

Yes there is. I happened go reinstall that rubber piece incorrectly which necessitated my visit to the watch guy.

My Rangeman was on my wrist. Maybe it was the red hot virile blood flowing through my 52 year old veins? Hotter than the sun I tell ya!

Well if that's the case, stay away from my G-Shocks!

    3. FS: KOBOLD PHANTOM. You would have been fighting over this at $4k a month ago. NOW $3.2K
