    Live in the UK?

After lurking for a while (learning loads) and developing an unhealthy obsession I've got a question for all the people who live in the UK.

Where do you buy your G-Shocks from if you live in the UK?

I know about eBay, HBwatches and Superchrono, is there any where else people would recommend a new addict should look for G-Shocks?

    Cheers

    EG

I'm in the UK and most of my recent buys have been from reputable ebay sellers in Singapore and HK.

I live in the UK and my first G-Shock was a present from a friend who came back from the States, and the second one I bought from a guy off another forum, in Oman.

Most people I know who have them either get them from EBay or some other internet seller.

I'm also in the UK, and have had trouble locating a decent stock of G's in this Country.I've also heard that if you purchase one from say, the States, it's liable to be held in Customs for a while, and there may be a charge. If this is the case, do they notify you of this? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

    Cheers!

    Hi EG,

I think that UK members are not much different from other west European members. Here in Europe G-Shock's are very expensive compared with the US and East Asia. For instance I saw a DW-5600E in a department store for €99.-. Germany seems to be a little cheaper. So a lot of us buy outside Europe.

It seems that you have already found some importand sources. I would like to add Katsu Higuchi-San and Seiya Kobayashi-San in Japan and Premierworld (eBay) in Singapore.

    Cheers,

    sjors

Xcel watches Has some nice basic models and a few more unusual ones but I mostly buy from ebay.

Seiya is recommended for quick shipping and new Japan models. Beware of customs charges though.

    Watches are frickin evil!

Japanese market watches I buy from Higuchi; the rest I usually buy from a dealer in HK I've used for ten years, although I have also used Javys once.

If you don't mind second hand, check out the sales section. They also have new watches there sometimes as well.

    Re: Live in the UK?

all but one of my G's has come from abroad, ive looked in jewellers over here and the amount of (very dated) G's on sale is laughable! the only slight niggle is that foreign watches have the date the wrong way round, eg: they show 9/31 when it should be 31/9..
