Looking for a square, atomic and solar G-shock

Hi. I'm new here in the G-Shock forum. I don't have one yet. I am currently looking to buy one for my father and one for me.

I think I will get the GW 5000 1JF for myself. I want a simpler, more affordable one for my dad with pretty much the same color scheme because he likes it less colorful. It's okay if it has less functions as long as it's solar and atomic. Those are his 2 main requirements.

    Thanks so much.

    Hubert

Bosox, what is the difference between the 5600J and the 5000 1JF aside from the caseback?

    Thanks.

DaveD and Bosox, what can you guys say about this seller from ebay:

    Casio G Shock GW5600J 1 Brand New 079767867072 | eBay

His price is much lower than the ones coming from Japan but not much feedbacks yet.

And there are some with carbon fiber straps. Are those more comfortable than the resin?

    Thanks.

The price for these (GW-5600j) is expensive. Maybe go all the way and get two GW-5000's.

    What about something like that?

You can find it also on other websites.
