    Looks vs. Functionality

Hey guys. Thought I'd post a poll to see what people buy their G-shocks for. I wouldn't ask in a forum for Rolexes or other high class watches, since its obvious that looks are the priority. However, in a forum about watches that are so colorful and varying, yet carry many functions, I thought I might get interesting results.

Anyway, what do you give a higher priority when buying a G? Do you favor the looks of a watch, or do you care more about the usefulness and functionality of it?

As for me, I prefer functions, but my guess is that those with many watches will go for looks.

Looks and funktions are both important, a G can look great but i don't like it if it doesn't have a timer function .
I have a waveceptor which i like very much but it laks the timer function which i regulary use at work.
So i think functios are more important and it has to be as black as possible.

A bit of both, but since they were purchased mainly for work function was the clincher on mine. Got to have the timer for work.

For me, Waveceptor and Tough Solar are what have reignited my enthusiasm for G-SHOCK, so I would have to say functionality, although I have always been attracted to their rugged machismo.

Purely for looks...I practically never use any of my watch's features other than the backlight. I use my cell phone if I need an alarm while on the move as most watches have puny alarms that can barely be heard. For me a watch is really all about telling time and complimenting my daily outfits.

    For me
    Function 80%
    Looks 20%

I always buy G shock with load of function(exp: Mudman, Frogman etc) , but they all get critisized by my wife saying they look fake and ugly .

    regards

    Re: Looks vs. Functionality

I can't answer this. I like a full range of functions, but if I don't like the look of a model I probably won't even check what functions it has...
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

I buy the look (80%) and then the function (20%) and I agree with tribe125, if don't look fine to me I will not going to take it in mind, no matter how many things can do.
