Cool Lumed Markers And Hands On The GA100-1A1

Maybe everybody already has seen this before, but I had not seen it before.

On today's WRUW thread in the "Affordables" subforum, a guy has posted photos of his GA100-1A1 with aftermarket lume on the hands and markers.

    Very cool!

I love my Stealth GA100 but wonder why Casio hates to use lume. For some reason that is one of the biggest week spots with any Casio I have ever owned. Seiko is head and shoulders above Casio in the lume dept. I love lume. Anybody that has an Orange or Black Monster knows what I am talking about.

When you pop off half a million units, I imagine the cost of lume would run up the final cost, just guessing?

+1 It's one of the main reasons, why I neither buy nor recommend any casio analog or ana-digi's anymore.

Imagine this watch with backlit EL. Seems so obvious you wonder what were they thinking.

I will go easy on this. Come on what do you think it cost Casio to make a G Shock in China or Thialand a couple of dollars what would lume cost a couple of cents more. It is one thing that Casio could improve on and if they came up with something as good or better than the lume Seiko uses how could that hurt sales. Kind of a no brainier to me. But hey Casio likes to say they are thinking ahead of the curve. I dont buy it.

I also don´t like that such a nice watch, with a "tactical" look does not have any lume... but I solved it "my way":

White acrylic paint on dial and hands and lume on it...
Now I am searching for a more "tactical" hands to replace them...
