    Re: M:i:3

what do you mean by all hype?

its a watch, it tells time. the watch won't turn you into Ethen Hunt and most likely you won't be saving the world wearing it

its a G-Shock, so it can take a beating

it has atomic, so it will sync with the atomic time

it doesn't have countdown timer, which is bad for people like us that wants a countdown timer

like most other limited edition G-Shock, it will cost you more to get the limited edition than to get the regular edition that looks and works just the same.

you can get the MTG910DA for a much lower price with simular look and the same function. (or MTG910DJ in Japan for slight more)

if you like the look and function, go for it

don't get too much into the hype of wearing the same watch as Ethen Hunt :-D (there isn't any wrong with buying a MI3 edition watch, heck, i would jump on it if i could find a decent deal ... )

    Hi Dingo,

The MI3 model is a nice model to own and there are 3 versions that were released.

One is the ordinary version that does not have the MI3 logo on the caseback.

Another has the Logo on the caseback.

The last is a Japanese Release which has the logo and a limitation number stamped on the back. (???/678)

The one with the logo only is available in Singapore. Apparately it is not selling well.

All 3 versions look the same and have the same functions...

This model does not interest me. I will stick with the frogmans and mudmans for now...

    cheers~

    How's it going!

I also own the m:i:3 watch. It has all the functions incl. countdown timer. If it didn't have that feature I wouldn't have bought it. It also has the m:i:3 logo on the back. Mine is not the Japanese version and doesn't have the waveceptor feature.

I bought it as it can be worn on more formal occasions, but it also looks good going casual as well. All in all it's a very good, trusty, reliable watch .

Having said that, I also prefer the Frogman & Mudman more!:gold

Too expensive for my liking, I'm not even a big fan of the films, so I give it a miss.
55 watches. 30 Casios. Appalling bank balance!

    Hi Dingo,

I think its all about preference.

Its widely available in Singapore but i chose to give it a miss.

The frogmans and mudmans appeal to me more...

My advice would be to follow these questions:

    1. Does the watch appeal to you?Yes/No

    2. Are you into the functions? Yes/No

    3. Is it over your budget? Yes/No

If you answered all as Yes,Yes,No

Then i would say go for it...

    cheers~

    well, i think there's 2 version of the MI3 G-Shock

one is MTG910XX and the other one is MTG911XX

MTG911 has a tough solar non-atomic module and it has countdown timer, the MTG910 has a atomic module with time stamp in place of countdown timer

did casio decided to release MTG911 cause the character in MI3 (Ethen Hunt) needed to use countdown timer in the movie? lol :-D

apparently Ethen disagree with you on the choice of frogman and mudman .. lol
