Have a safe and nice trip, Handie.

Enjoy the awesome lakes. And if possible go to Solentiname, a really beautiful little place:

I think there's not much chance of G-Shocks in Nicaragua, but if you can return in a Panama-Miami flight or something like that, then you'll be amazed at the lots of duty-free shops in Panama City's airport.

Actually I am going alone and according to Vintage I will be lucky if I can find any watch places. I will take lots of pictures and post them here for all to see. I realized last night that I had no luggage for this trip... LOL So I had to go get some this morning I am told that a good place to eat is tip top chicken (I have no idea what that is)

The gasoline was about $5 a gallon. Here are some pictures of the trip. They are in reverse order and the green paint speckles get worse if you view them from top to bottom.

Wow, $5 a gallon. Sounds like Chavez is killing the 'poor man' over there. I can't imagine how anybod affords it.

Oh, and beautiful photos! Love the one of the food...what was it?

The rich drive cars the middle-class drive very beat up cars or motorcycles and the poor ride bicycles or walk. The only reason Chavez charges us so little is for political reasons. That was fettuccine Alfredo with shrimps and garlic bread. Thanks for the complement on the photos. The country is very beautiful in places and very dirty and disgusting in others.

So, what were you doing that got green spots on your G? Or, is it some kind of Nicaraguan resin fungus that attacks G's?
