Manufacture date of my old G-Shock?

I'm having trouble figuring out the year of manufacture. I bought this new in the July of 1990 from BJ's. Replaced bezel and strap 7 or 8 years ago with real oem casio parts. The case has never been opened, original battery. From what I've seen online it's not a 1990 G-shock, maybe older.
    Any ideas? Thanks!

Could be a 1990. I believe the 691 module was produced from 1987 until 1990 then they changed over to the 901 from 1990-1995/6. Someone please correct me if my dates are wrong. Nice watch. Still looks like new.

Yes! Can hardly believe it myself. I've rarely ever push the light button. Maybe why?

This is correct, 901 module came out in 96. 20yrs+ on a 2025 battery is about what I got with my 5600C with constant use.

Very impressive! As good as solar for all intents and purposes. Does current in production 5600E use same battery?

They use a CR2016 in the current model DW-5600E.

Another thing to remember is the light on 5600C models sucked, you were better off tilting to the moon to read it unless in total darkness.
