    Maybe a Mudmaster GWG-1000

So as I posted yesterday I got my Frogman D1000B back on my wrist. I have never really spent much time looking at the Mudmaster GWG-1000 but it caught my eye today reading some threads. I am use to wearing analog watches forever so is there anything you guys can tell me good or bad for buying the GWG-1000? It is analog / digital as the Frog is all digital, but how about size, comfort, etc. I also saw the GG-1000 but to me it doesn't look as robust and I don't like the LCD displays for some reason. Thank you for any help, Howard

If it calls to you I say go for it, I don't think you'll be disappointed. It is definitely a big watch, but the lug design hugs the wrist making it super comfortable to wear. I would venture to say that it might be my most comfortable G, especially considering its size. I do own the GG as well, and while it wears well, your assumption about the LCD is correct insofar as it is nowhere near as readable and functional as the GWG.

    Re: Maybe a Mudmaster GWG-1000

I'm a recent GWG1000 owner, and am currently enjoying something of a love affair! It's a wonderful watch with very usable functionality. It's all very intuitive to use and I haven't had to refer to the instructions since the 1st couple of days having her as it's so easy to work - not all G Shocks are! It's a huge watch, and I have a very small wrist 17cm (6 3/4 inches), but it is so comfortable, and makes me feel like a really big boy LOL Buy one, if you don't get on with it move it on as prices are really strong, even for used...

Is a remarkably comfortable Watch for its size. A more interesting Watch than the D1000 in my opinion. Nothing about it not to like if you're a big Watch kind of guy. Most definitely is a quality Watch.

I guess I should add some pics.

I love mine. It's my most comfortable watch and fits amazingly despite its large size. I only just got mine last week but it has already survived the ocean and a water park.

I have MudMaster for nearly two years. I had many Gs in the past, but MM is my favorite by far.

    Re: Maybe a Mudmaster GWG-1000

Its a nice looking watch if you can find a good deal on it, just don't expect it to do much more.

I dont find the sensors particularly accurate, although functional, not really reliable, more like a novelty

Also if you can see the watch in person I would recommend to do so

The first one I bought, the seconds hand was not synced with the digital display ie analogue would read 15secs past, the digital display would read 40sec

I got it replaced and it hasn't skipped a beat.

A good watch aesthetically nice big and comfortable, if you want more than that I would recommend finding a different watch

Don't think you'd regret the purchase. The GWG is a great balance between robustness, comfort and a rugged, tactical design. I love my GPW, but I prefer my GWG.

"When the shadow of the sash appeared in the curtains it was between seven and eight o'clock and then I was in time again, hearing the watch. It was Grandfather's and when Father gave it to me he said I give you the mausoleum of all hope and desire.... I give it to you not that you may remember time, but that you might forget it now and then for a moment and not spend all your breath trying to conquer it."

    Re: Maybe a Mudmaster GWG-1000

I am now deciding between these two models, GWG-1000-1A or GWG-1000-1A3. I know they are the same exact functioning watch, but can anyone elaborate on the colored numbers. The -1A3 (green band) looks to be more of white numbers on the dial and the -1A seems to be cream. Do you guys prefer one over the other? I like the green band and the white numbers and yellow selection arrow, but not opposed to the all black band and cream numbers and selector arrow. I feel the -1A3 with green band has a bit more pop with the yellow arrow and yellow wording and the yellow thin ring around the whole dial. You guys are great for helping me..... thank you
