For the mighty PRW-1500 owners and seekers ;)

Hi everyone, hope all's well. I'm back after a while. I snapped up my maiden G-shock, the mudman G-9000 and its a great one. Thanks alot for the photos and advice leading up to my purchase.

I'm a protrek enthusiast and atm I consider the PRW-1500 to be the final frontier as of now...it takes the PRW80-T and 40 versions etc and combines it with the formidable waveceptor series with tide and moon data and extra water resistance to 200m! Plus its atomically powered...relevant if you're in the proximity of those zones.

I'd be so keen to see pictures and hear about your experiences with what I consider to be the mother of all watches at the moment cmon, Rolex and Breitling don't have those funtions hehe!

Queen6 made a brilliant post in Dec showing all the liveries of the PRW1500 including the stunning Titanium Japan only version!

In the UK I'm afraid it retails at a big £275 but u get what u pay for, megawatchstore does it for 339 Euro, amazon.co.uk as usual is the best deal but the stainless steel silver is £243.99...have got a friend searching for the price in Sri Lanka.

It's a must have for any casio man and I will notch one before a year passes from now maybe..but this thread would be great for us to see exactly how popular its been...sorry if this is a double post, there was one for the frogman so it shd b ok! I think this may be a hot topic!

Thanks alot! I will update you when I finally do get my one!

Hmmm...I have a 1500...I quite like it as a sports watch.

I do think even in the Protrek line it has probably been overtaken somewhat by later modules.

Its not a stainless steel version btw - titanium.

The 1500 is just PERFECT. It has a smart design, its thin, light, and blends with casual wear and formal wear. It beats all G-shocks in terms of functions. I havent worn my Gulfman and Omega since I bought it. Even if I had a choice between the Frogman and the 1500, I still choose the 1500. Pathfinder/Protrek watches are just great. Here are some pics.

Nice 1500 mate. I had a tough time deciding which watch to get, the standard, the kawasaki green color one, and the stealth pathfinders.

Best of luck, brotha. The 1500's a great model - I have the PAW1500 myself. Make sure you post pics once it arrives!

BREAKWATER, There is a USA ebay seller that has this model for $217.95. I have not seen one for sale retail in a while so I can't say there.

Just googled PRW-1500, and the first page shows 3 shops selling it for £140 - £180, so nowhere near as expensive as you suggest in your OP.

Sounds like you dont have an excuse now!

I'm gonna second what a.sasaki15 said in that mine has replaced my Frog. As much as I hate to admit it :)

I added a resin band from a standard 1500 and a panerai style pre-v buckle and I have a set-up that gets lots of wrist time

    Cheers,
