Neat watch...what makes it military? Just the style?

The size, the contrast of the dial, and the "distressed" case (used look) makes it military

    Hi Buzzbait,

Yes its the old SUS but in mint condition. These were released in 1995/1996.

Here is the silver dial version (long gone, but i like the black more):

    Have a good weekend.

    cheers~

Yes it does...it's also our national colours so I could use that as an excuse for get one.

You know you have a 'problem' when you need to make excuses for buying a watch.

I'm surprised yours doesn't have the 24 hour markers on it...thought that was pretty obligatory for military.

I always have to laugh when people talk about "military style watches". for me they represent the bottom line of watches and I seriously wonder if they were really worn by a soldier at all...

I mean, come on guys what do those things do? okay they tell the time but thats about it. a tool watch should have at least two more things which makes it useful, great lume (H3) and a rotatable bezel for timing or marking a direction when used as compass.

if one wants a serious "military watch" then get a g-shock - oh wait I think you already come to the right place then
    just my 2 cents...

    regards, holger
