    Mineral glass

I know Protrek and G-shock watches use mineral glass and no plastic...whats the difference between these two elements?

I'm no scientist, however, I believe many types of glass will break easier than plastic, glass is heavier, glass is more heat resistant than plastic.

    I've never seen a G-Shock with a plastic face cover:-S

    Hi Batman -

As far as I know, and I'm pretty sure, all G-Shock's have glass, although possibly some "mineral" and other other, whatever that other type of glass is:-D

Didn't they used to make glass from sand?

I've never been aware of a G-Shock with a plasticcrystal.
