    Mixed marriage

For years my wife has worn a Ironman. Thus the mixed marriage. Well I have been trying to get her to try a Baby-G for a long time now but she is insistent that her next watch be solar. Well after looking at the Casio site I don't see any Baby-G that is solar. Am I just missing them or do they not make any? :thanks

Funny you should mention this...I was just checking this out yesterday. Nearly all Baby-G's are not solar which is a bit of a dud from Casio.

However these models are solar...not much to choose from, but there you go...

    Hi Bluegum,

Actually those G-Reef solars don't look bad! I have an older Tough Solar Baby-G G-Lide with tidegraph. I rather like the battery version...

Thanks bluegum. It seems odd that there isn't much selection with the solar Baby G. I will send her the link though and see if any of them are to her liking.

I normally don't like bright red on watches etc, but those watches look very good Sjors...

    ...at least they're not pink.

    Hi Bluegum,

The BGX-200 (bottom) is in real a real beauty. I gave one as a birthday present to a babysitter (and lifeguard, hence the tidegraph!). I tried to get another one and found out this model was very limited. I managed to find one (2002) with a lot of help from a US shop.

    Cheers,

    Sjors.

If her wrist isn't too thin, I think you probably want to check out the medium-sized mens models cause I've just done a few more searches for women's tough solar models, and they're like hens teeth.

I quite like this analog G-Shock model, but it's not solar either...

You may have noticed I have a bit of a tide graph fetish, so those pics caused a bit of this...

That was a nice present...I don't know why Casio have this weird 'limited/collector" policy. Seems like they deliberately keep the sexiest models rare.

    Hi Bluegum,

On this model this is absolutely true!. I actually didn't know it was rare at the beginning, but I had to pay almost double for the second one (we are talking about one month between the two I bought...)

    Cheers,

    Sjors

Hey Sjors, what's the number of this tough solar model?

    Thanks!
