Modding. How far do you go?

I love to goof around with straps and bezels as you can see in some earlier topics. There are however some watches in my collection that I don't mess with. It just feels not right and a bit unholy to change them. These are the ones I am talking about.

I would never change them. I have seen a modded Eric Haze on the forum before and it looked great. Still I wouldn't do it. How far do you go in modding Ltd editions?

I once turned a Brazillian Frogman into a VW van. I took that mod REALLY far!

Wow Jeff_C, it's gonna take a LOT of oil to hydro-mod that one!

Last night I had a cool idea for my IN4MA+TION 6900. I have the dark blue 6900CC with the light blue face and blue display. I tried to swap bezels and straps. The red from the Information modlue would have looked really good in the dark blue bezel, but they're not the same size. I was a bit disapointed.

I wouldn't mess with special editions either. I have a bunch of the same watch that I can play with.

Yes, I agree. I guess it's up to your personal taste though for deciding which model should or should not be changed though.

Personally, I only mod G-Shocks that I think will look better if changed. And even then I try to only mod spare parts, so it can be changed back to the original design (and so I don't have to worry about screwing anything up ).
