    Module not responding GW-8900

Hey guys im sorry if this is repetitive but i really tried searching for the solution first. My GW-8900 module 3268 is currently keeping time but none of the buttons function. I replaced the battery and did the reset but nothing. Could it it be the module itself? All springs are making contact with the solar panels and the button pushers make contact with the module. The CHG is blinking after a couple days of charge in sunlight. Could it be bad panels. Im really stuck on this one. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks.

There was a thread a little while ago about a similar issue w/ buttons not responding and the like, https://forums.watchuseek.com/f17/hel...a-1890898.html Maybe it's something similar? Other than that, are you sure that the new battery is installed correctly & is the right type?

Did you use a battery marked as CTL1616 or something close to that? (CTL means it's rechargable)
Kind of a dumb question, but gotta ask, haha.

Assuming by "reset thing" you mean AC reset. On one of my 7900's I had to do the AC reset a couple of times to make sure I actually did it (making sure it went back down to 12:00:00)

what happened to the first/original battery? did you buy the watch new or used?

where did you get the new battery from ? is it the correct one ? did you reset it properly ?

I don't think anything wrong with the G to start with (before battery replacement), it just needed one week of direct sunlight

New battery may be a dud then... I'm assuming that you changed it because it was having these faults with the old one too?

Also, if you aren't getting some results or another after a solid few days of clear sun, something ain't right.

I once sat outside with a solar I got in the mail trying to get it charged, only to walk in and have it die. It didn't have a battery.
