What is the most durable G-shock watch?

That's kind've a loaded question if you ask me. Honestly, I think they're all made to a certain standard so that every G-Shock made is able to withstand abuse that not even the human body could withstand. That said, not all G's will look quite as nice after the fact. I have a SS Cockpit G-Shock that has a colored bezel that is already showing wear even though I baby it. The black resin G's like the DW-6900 or DW-5600 are going to withstand the most abuse and still look reasonably well IMHO. Hope that helps!
    It's always sunny in Boise!!

    Re: Most Durable

    My candidates are:

    The G-23xx series of G-Shocks

    The G-9000 Mudman

    The GW-200 Frogman

    The DW-5700 screwback Reissue

In the end, my guess is the G-9000 Mudman. It's made to survive just about anything. It doesn't have a solar charging system, which adds an extra point of failure. The plastic case is remarkably resilient. The bezel is extraordinarily protective of the crystal. The mounting system for the strap is far more secure than a spring bar attachment. It has low temp resistance. Mud resistance is obvious. I don't think you can get any tougher.

The RevMan gets my vote: it's built like a heavily amoured tank

You've got to take a closer look at the new G-9100 Gulfman's strap mount. Its screws each reach 1/2 into the strap and the strap doesn't have a hole near the mount point.

I would go with the 52XX series, some of the places that has been on my wrist including up to the elbow unblocking a live sewer!! (I washed it well afterwards, and the watch too)
I have also used pneumatic rock drills whilst wearing it too without a moments trouble.
The Mudman would come a very good second best though.
    Real men don't need instructions.

I asked the question because I wanted to see where the one I already bought stood. I bought the Mudman, and I'm glad I did.

The MR-G 7500 has got to be a contender for the title of the "Worlds Toughest Watch"

Hardened titanium case and bracelet (4-5 times harder than normal Ti). Coated with DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) making it scratch proof, other than with a diamond perhaps. Sapphire crystal, and it is a G-SHOCK!
