    MTG-1000 questions

    Hi folks,

Considering getting my self an MTG-1000.

I've tried the giez version before and hated the strap and lack of countdown timer.

Now the watch looks great and solid however is it worth the £230 or so it costs in the UK?

I have a G-501D cockpit model that is nice but the bracelet feels pretty cheap.

I don't want to spend the cash on something that doesn't feel like it's worth the money.

Am i correct in saying the the links are solid in the bracelet?

It's going to be either this watch or the 20th anniversary Citizen Aqualand.
(though that is full of features a non-diver like me would never use, it is however very cool looking)

So in short should I buy the MTG-1000??

    Thanks in advance.

You can't go wrong with the MTG 1000... The look & feel of the watch is top notch IMO. It's nice to have a full analog that is spot on in the accuracy department with it being atomic/solar. The only little drawback for me is that I wish it had a full size sweeping second hand instead of it being a function hand.

    Here's mine:

I have the 1000G. I like it, as it is a very solid piece. And with the gold accents is also quite dressy. Mine does have a sweeping second hand. I just start up the chrono when I want to

I like mine, wore them very little so moved them on however. Watch is very solid and I think you'll like it. I didn't like the small second hand myself either. I feel like getting another once in a while and that puts me off once I remember it. The CDT is nice, very cool to see that long thin function hand ticking backwards.

I think you'll like it. It certainly feels very solid, if that is your major concern.

Love this version the best. Casio always ups the sweet factor on the Japan Only models...
