    Now out, the MTG-1500 TOUGH MVT. Retail in Japan is 56,700 Yen. Expected street prices at big discount stores at around 39,600 Yen:

    I tried it on too - sits very similar to its 1000 little brother, high on the wrist. Personally, I found it a little less appealing in person than in the pictures.

    Interesting...I figured the opposite would be true.

    I like the idea of a digi-ani display and have seen it done well on some watches, but I can't help thinking Casio haven't quite got it right here. I think they need to make it a more seamless design somehow.

    Which part, exactly? That the MTG1500 also sits high on the wrist, or that it looks better in pictures?

    My only complaint about this model is the lack of EL back light. The use of LED back light does not show the digital display clearly...

    Why can't Casio just stick with the proven EL backlight for the digital display portions?
