    MTG960 or GW5600?

    Hello :
I'm deciding wich one of these two models will be my next catch. Both models are solars, waveceptors (2 bands), negative display one is black
the other stainless steel. I know that this is a matter of taste and personal decision but will like to hear your opinions on these two.
Wich one you like better. Help me out here

Not a massive fan of either but I'd go for the black one.

    Watches are frickin evil!

I like both, but they're so different it's hard to decide. If you don't already have a classic square type G, I'd go for the 5600. If you do, perhaps the other one.

Number 1. Apart from the fact that number 1 has 'lineage', number two has that 'randomly assembled from the parts-bin look' (that's a bit strong, I know).
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Hey Tribe what do you mean by "randomly assembled from the parts-bin
    look"

Ah... it's a bit like some 'special editions' of cars. It's as though somebody from the company wandered through the factory saying, 'What would it look like if we put one of these on it, maybe with one of those - the colours don't quite match, but it looks kind of interesting. What do you reckon?'

The watch in question looks a bit like that to me - 'Right, we'll start with a reversed display, but we won't have a black band and bezel. How about this pale colour? Maybe with a bit of black? Still doesn't look 'snazzy' enough... I know - a touch of blue round here.'

Like I said - a bit strong, but it was the analogy that jumped into my head. 'Not a harmonious design' is what I meant.

Hi Lockwood, I have the GW-700, which uses the same module as the MTG, and the all resin GW-5600. I find the 5600 to be the better of the two because it has a countdown timer (albiet only 60 min) as opposed to the time memo feature. Never have found much use for time memo.

I didn't realise the MTG960 had no CDT. In that case I would definitely choose the 5600.

I have the MTG900, similar watch to the MTG960, and the bracelets are very comfortable! Also has a good amount of heft -- I would guess the GW5600 would be pretty light.

Of course, the 5600 is a much more subtle watch
