Mudman G9300-1 fog between solar panel and crystal

    Morning all,

From searching, this seems to be quite a common thing.

I've disassembled the watch and found that indeed the fogginess is between the crystal and the solar panel.
I've read some conflicting reports about whether I can press the glass out or not.

I'm also struggling to find either as spare parts, I don't mind giving it a crack at pushing the glass out, but I'd rather have a foggy mudman, than a broken mudman.

So if I'm going to break it in the attempt, I'd feel much more comfortable if the parts are available.

    Thanks,

    Gareth

    Hi guys,

    I fixed it.

I disassembled the watch, gave it a scrub in hot soapy water with a tooth brush and got a whole load more water between the two layers of glass/plastic.

So that showed me that if water can get in easily, it can get out the same way.

So I set it up in front of a hair dryer, and gave it about 20 minutes. After that, it was perfectly clear again. Reassembled the watch and bingo.

does not happen with my mudman, but if it does, I would hydro-mod it

if any Gshock has foggy problem and not analog/screwback => hydro-mod after cleaning
