Mudman owners, how do you guys not bang up the bezel?

Its been two weeks and i already have a few tiny nicks on the resin bezel's edge. Is it just me or does it happen to everyone?

I haven't had a nick yet on my 6-month old Mudman. Maybe it's because I have such a boring lifestyle.

I think the more important question is, how do you even manage to worry about it at all? It's a G-Shock; nicks and scratches actually make it look better.

Sucks to be without a G.

I guess that depends on the kind of activities you're engaging in. Many of mine do have shiny marks from rubbing the bezel against some surface (e.g. my Anniversary Mudman rubbed against the plastic interior of a rental car while I was adjusting the seat).

But I don't have actual nicks. But then, I usually avoid getting too close to surfaces that sharp... .

Banging up a G-Shock should be expected. Generally, avoiding banging it up involves being aware of everything all the time. All that will do is make you worry and a bit paranoid. Enjoy it, try not to worry about it and know that it happens to everyone. I've got a few nicks on mine!

    This.

Also, if you are that concerned, just call Casio and order a replacement bezel or two. That way you can wear it like it should be worn, and then put on a fresh bezel if you ever need to.

Isn't it part of the beauty of Gs that they can take the worst beating? After all, that's what they were designed for. If the watch shows some wear that just means it has been serving its purpose. I enjoy not having to worry about my G when I am wearing it. It is so relaxing because I am always over-careful when wearing my mechanical ones.

Depends on your lifestyle. But whatever it is, it might help to realize that if you were wearing an expensive Swiss mechanical watch, it would be the one getting nicked. If it really bugs you, the bezel can be replaced. But it's the kind of thing you would do every 5 years or so. So relax and enjoy life with your G-Shock, probably the most carefree watch you can own!
