    Mudman restoration completed...

After restoring a DW-8140 Gundam recently, I seemed to have been bitten by the restoration bug! Here's a classic DW-8300 with a new set of 'clothes':

    It's a made-in-Malaysia 'Silvereye' version,

together with a made-in-Japan 'Goldeneye' which was also restored a while back,

Both siblings together with their younger descendant: the G-9000.

Nice work - approximately how long did it take you for each job?

    Thanks guys!
I've always liked the look of the older Gs.
BenL - It didn't take me long to fix them up. The modules were working fine so just needed to fix on the new bezel and straps, about 15mins tops

i did something similar a while back, but have been too lazy to photograph mine. it's a golden eye wearing a silver eye bezel and a plain 8400/electrolumi labeled strap.
in theory, theory and practice are much less the same, in practice it is hardly the case...

I think the older Mudman design is so much better looking than the new. I wish they were still being made as old ones are so expensive these days.

The only real similarity is the covered buttons, both great designs IMO.
