    My boos throws them out....

I was working with my boss last night and the subject of watches came up.

A Tourneau commercial came on t.v. (yes, we have DirectTv at work) and it showed a person showing some very expensive watches while wearing cotton gloves.

I was wearing my GW-9000A Mudman and he was wearing a no-name digital, I think he said he bought it at WallyWorld. It was a Casio look-a-like with a velcro strap.

Anyway, he stated that he doesn't understand how anyone could buy expensive watches and mentioned that all he needs is the time and when the battery goes, so does the watch (in the trash). Apparently, he gets his money's worth because batteries last a very long time.

I heard it mentioned about people who throw away digital watches but I never met a person that did, until last night!

That's how I am with cars. I just chuck 'em when they run out of gas.

Funny how folks can be so different. You can try and explain about how many choices and quality features there are now but most wont listen. I showed one of my watches to a co-worker and he said he would never pay more than 50 dollars for a watch. Just currious what kind of car does your boss drive

I used to buy my watches ten at a time for $5-$10 each.
When the battery went, I would just grab a new one from the drawer.

    Then I discovered WUS.

Being obsessed about watches has its advantages I guess. It means you get pretty well educated and get a much better watch than you might have gotten and enjoy it more and for longer .

I can't imagine going back to not caring about watches .

By the way, it is possible to start people off on the craze. I bet if you show him the benefits and promote great watches he'll come to his senses .
