My DW6900fs-8 and experience with Fashion Time (shopft.com)

My watch arrived from UPS yesterday. Let me know what you think. Looks legitimate? I'd hate to have waited this long for a fake.

My experience with Fashion Time has not been good. In fact, if you try to get to www.shopft.com it will just error out. I received my watch after about 2 weeks since I ordered it. I received an order confirmation right after I placed an order on the website. It was like a receipt. Nothing in the email states when the watch will ship or if they even have it in stock. Three days later I send an email asking if the watch was in fact in stock because Amazon.com now had the same watch in stock ready to ship for the same price. No response. Two days later I send another email asking for a follow up. No response. I figured no big deal and send another after a weekend passed. No response. Now I'm a little irritated because I wanted some type of follow up or confirmation regarding my order. I pick up the phone and dial the 800 number on the website(which existed at the time). All I get is a beeping tone on the phone that sounds like a busy signal. I tried calling at least a dozen times during different times in the day. No luck.

I finally get an email this past Saturday that they only send out one email order confirmation and that is it. No addressing why it takes 4 emails from me to get one response. No mention of why a business has an 800 number that a customer cannot use.

If you all think this is a legitimate watch, I will keep it. However, I will not be buying anything else from Fashion Time. Terrible customer service to me.

P.s. Should I have received an instruction manual? Do I need one?

This is my very first G-shock at the age of 32

Thanks for the feedback and your help Buzzbait.

The manual is usually found by opening the bottom of the box. They like to hide it from people.

Nice catch Thach.. But I was sorry to hear about the hassle you had to go through to get your first shock. Well, at least you're not alone. And most of all, you got the real one instead of some fake @#$%..

When I got my first frog(on-line), I too had a "not so great experience" but what can I say, my frog was still NEAR PERFECT. Lovin' my froggie but I think I'd stay away from the site I bought it from just to be on the safe side too.. I'm leaning towards Seiya's for my next purchases hopefully..

Anyway, enjoy your new G and wear in good health buddy!!!
    best regards,

    Kirk M.

Thanks Kirk! I am a happy camper with the new watch. I really liked it in pictures and it does not disappoint in person.

Phillipines eh? Send me some authentic adobo please.

Thanks man. It really does look nice and clean. It is also gray-ish which I think I like more than the pure white ones.

Sorry for your troubles thach! I'm glad that you did receive a 'real' one though. It looks really good.
