    My first G (30th anny)

I never thought a G-Shock would be for me. I am a mechanical watch fiend, and my only digital before now was a $20 Casio (I do love it, but its more of a novelty item).

I started jogging and I live in New England. I needed a watch that would be able to withstand the elements and function as a stopwatch... and maybe stand out a bit on my wrist. So I thought, what better than a G-Shock?

Notice the slight bit of condensation on the outside of the display... I received this item today, when it is -8 degrees Fahrenheit. Fear not, it wipes away.

The model is the 30th Anny Limited GDX6930E-9.

Great wrist shot! Automatics are nice, but sooner or later every man realizes he needs at least one G-shock.

Yep. And despite my love for mechanicals, I have an addictive personality. So "at least one" for me usually means "a whole bunch"

I entered the watch world collecting autos. G-shocks weren't part of my planned watch journey, but were an unexpected, pleasant surprise.
