    My first one

And hopefully my only one. After buying three seiko's(1 7039 and 2 SKX173's) I need something tougher. Well after everybodies input I bought one.

I just happened to get a G-9000MS today in the mail today. My first impressions are good. One thing I've noticed is how much lighter it is than my past watches. I'm going to have to get used to the band though. I've worn a "The Band" for the last 7 years. It is going to take a little getting use to.

The time is a little hard to read, but I don't mind so far. I really happy with this purchase. Lets see how long it lasts. My last SKX173 last a whopping year before it started gaining about an hour a day. 7 months later the whole face started turning inside of the case.

Thanks everybody, especially Breakwater, I aggrevated him a little more than the rest of you.

    Justin

Unfortunately, that's very unlikely to happen . The more time you spend here, the more watches you want, at least that's what happen to me. I only need one watch to tell the time initially but end up with 3 now (PAW-1500, Seiko Milemarker, Casio Superilluminator) after i joined the forum & i don't think it's going to stop here

Outstanding choice and I agree that it probably won't be your last.

    Great Choice. You'll enjoy it.
But I'm afraid that G Shocks are a lot like potato chips.
It's hard to just have one.

    Nice one.

I think you'll find that you can't stop at just one. Especially if you keep visiting this forum.

congratulations and welcome to the forum.

i've had friends comment on the light weight of some of my chunky g-shocks, too. i consider it a positive attribute!

the g9000 is also one of my favorite non-atomic modules. great choice.

now i think you want a 5600 or maybe an analog / digital.
